Join us

Join us on a Saturday morning (9:45 am)at Walton le Dale Community Primary School, Severn Drive, Walton le Dale, PR5 4TD. Why not ask your parent or guardian to bring their bike as well!

What do I do next?

Come in to school and see the person who is signing in riders for and tell them you are a new rider. Your parent or guardian will need to pay £1.00 and sign you in for the ride (NB If you are eight or under you must be accompanied by a responsible adult).

We Look forward to seeing you on our next ride.

How long are the rides?

Typically our Saturday Club Rides are based around the cycle ways and routes of the Bamber Bridge area, either heading out to Avenham Park or Cuerden Park. This type of terrain best suits a Mountain Bike, Hybrid or Cyclo-Cross type bike.

Rides last about 1.5 to 2 hours returning to the school for about 12 - 12.30. We normally split into to ability groups.  For the younger members of the club we often include a short bike skills coaching session, using some of the go-ride activities. During all rides we operate a marshalling system for all road crossings to minimise risks.

How do I join the club?

You can join in the rides for a month to see if you like it, then you will be asked to join the club and become a member of British Cycling Federation(BCF). You will get a BCF membership card and racing licence and a chance to buy the new club cycling kit.

If you decide you want to join before the month is up then that is O.K.
